Shawn Long, Chief Executive Officer
As Founder and CEO of viLogics, Inc., Mr. Long began his IT post-graduate career by securing a position with Verizon as a Cellular Network Technician. He held this position until he formed his first startup company in 1996 called Electronic Claims Processing (ECP), Inc.
Primarily serving as a Data Processing Clearinghouse and IDE Healthcare Claims Processing company, ECP also provided both medical and dental software, hardware and Practice Management Solutions to over 550 clients in 38 states.
In 2009, ECP (as their largest reseller) acquired MedcomSoft – an ONC-ATCB Certified Integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Practice Management Solution. Prior to the acquisition, MedcomSoft traded on the TSX (under MSF) until Mr. Long took the company private.
Under his command, MedcomSoft experienced a 358 percent growth rate over a period of five years, at which time Mr. Long decided to sell the company in order to focus all his energy on his true passion in Information Technology. During this time, he had also founded a sister company to MedcomSoft (now known as viLogics) in order to service the demands of the commercial IT sector. In its early years, viLogics provided hosting services to its first large-scale clients, both Dell and IBM, supporting the fast-paced VMware online VCP training tracks.
In 2014, MedcomSoft was purchased by Harris Computer Systems under the name CareTracker. Post-sale, Mr. Long focused all attention on the go-to-market strategy for viLogics as an Enterprise Private Cloud (IaaS) Solutions provider. Today, viLogics provides data center services on a national scale and continues to grow steadily.
Mr. Long holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Engineering, as well as numerous IT certifications which include: MCP Microsoft Certified Professional, VCP VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer for Security (MCSE+Sec) and Certified Sonicwall Security Administrator.
John O’Connor, VP of Sales and Service Delivery
John has close to three decades in technology sales and sales management roles. John has a long history of growing successful business through business development, engineering and channel growth.
As the VP of Sales and Service Delivery, John provides the leadership for the sales team, marketing, and the overall experience to our clientele. John has a focus on growing our business within the product offerings as well as the business partners we utilize to ensure customer satisfaction.
He has been a recognized leader within organizations such as Cisco Systems, Verizon in the IT Solutions Group and AT&T. At Cisco Systems, John grew the region he managed by over 6x factor in less than a five-year period. He has built a track record of success by building trust in his customers, his partners, and his team. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and an MBA, both from Robert Morris University.
Jarrid Magalich, Chief Operating Officer
Jarrid is responsible for the day to day operations of the organization including the engineering teams that manage the enterprise infrastructure in our data centers that supports our customers and our own internal systems.
Jarrid brings over twenty-three years of large enterprise infrastructure experience from various roles within the Information Technology industry. Jarrid started his career as a Programmer Analyst in 1994 at Sheetz Corporation. During his time there, Jarrid’s roles including Database Administrator, Senior Database Administrator, Technical Services Manager, with his last position as Head of Infrastructure, supporting a vast array of technology solutions supporting a multi-billion dollar organization.
Jarrid also holds a BS degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh as well as an extensive knowledge of computer languages, systems and technology integration.
